I had the privilege of designing and helping launch this innovative bike light system from Arthur Claessens. Our successful Kickstarter campaign raised CHF 87k with over 555 contributors.
But what is Sidelights? The Ultimate Safety Bicycle Light System featuring 360° Visibility, Turn Signals and Double Beam.
New bike is out! The second generation of URS: “l’enfant terrible” de BMC. A Gravel bike featuring a bold design, that will inspire you to go on an unrestricted adventure.
Now that all the important key words are out, I might add that we kept the iconic design language, with straight lines, kinks and dropped seat stays, making the silhouette of the bike unmistakably BMCish.
After years of developpement with a strong product team, I am glad that the bike is finally out! All the attention to detail and all the passion that we poured in was definitely worth it!
Though rarely spoken about, The Trackmachine 01 is BMC’s most aero bike to date..! It represents the pinnacle of track bike engineering, boasting a meticulously crafted design developed in close cooperation with Swiss Cycling athletes for remarkable efficiency and adaptability. I’m honored to have contributed as a designer to the development of this bike, which was crafted with the goal of competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
« BMC recently introduced an entirely new family of Fourstroke XC full suspension bikes, with the headlining Fourstroke 01, the standard Fourstroke, and the “downcountry” Fourstroke LT. »
After I started working with BMC as a designer, my first project was finally delivered on the project —the Fourstroke AMP LT. This « downcountry » e-bike features the cutting-edge TQ motor, offering a seamless blend of power and precision.

This competition takes place each year during the Design Days, alternating between Geneva and Lausanne, and is granted in turn to a student from HEAD (Geneva School of Art and Design) and Ecal (Lausanne Cantonal Art School).
The USM Design Grant is awarded to the “Infinity” project by Theo Luvisotto and Martin Stricker. As an exception, the jury awards a special mention to the “Bambino” project by Bérengère Bussioz and Clémence Buytaert.
Infinity is a visual and sound installation which invites the user to enter into an infinite space. People can look through an opening and experience the echo of their own voice while seeing themselves in an infinite reflexion. The openings are positioned at different heights, allowing children and adults to interact freely inside the structure. Built out of duplicated cardboard modules linked by elastic ropes, the construction offers a maximum of effects with a minimum of means. It is efficient to produce, stackable in piles for transport, it can be quickly built in different kinds of shapes without the help of tools and is therefore inexpensive.
LIANAS by ECAL/Martin Stricker This series of supports and posts will give a speck of personality to any garden.
JARDÍN POPULAR
On the occasion of the Abierto Mexicano de Diseño in Mexico City (9 to 13 October 2019), ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne presents a collection of garden furniture and accessories in enamelled steel — popularly known in Mexico as Peltre — conceived by second-year Bachelor Industrial Design students, under the guidance of Swiss designer Francisco Torres. Popularly known in Mexico as Peltre, enamelled steel tableware can be seen on every tables, from the local street corner canteen, to the latest fashionable restaurant, Grandma’s dishes or the family picnic set. Peltre’s lightweight, smooth, durable and heat resistance surface as for many decades made it perfect for kitchenware, but other products applications are less common nowadays.
Seeing an opportunity to challenge this industry and seek new fields of applications, second-year Bachelor Industrial Design students of ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne are proposing a fresh take on garden furniture and accessories that takes full benefits of enamelled steel qualities. Being scratch resistant, weatherproof and easy to clean, the enamelled products are keeping it up against the elements. Under the guidance of Swiss designer Francisco Torres, students conceived a range of objects from a simple watering cans, sturdy solar lanterns, playful rocking toy cows, divers plant supports, basic and compact garden tools, multipurpose low tables and resounding cowbells for the backyard menagerie.
The exhibited objects where enamelled in Mexico by the skillful craftsmen of Delta Porceltech, in Polotitlán City,
Mexico.
