Designed for modern gravel racing, the Kaius 01 is built to deliver what BMC defines as “unbounded speed.”
Inspired by the lines of the BMC Teammachine SLR and BMC Teammachine R, the bike blends road-derived aerodynamics with gravel performance while retaining the DNA of its first generation. Signature elements like the seat tube cutout remain, alongside a revised seat stay-seat tube connection that increases tire clearance. The fork design, inspired by the Teammachine R, features wide legs that further enhance tire clearance.
It also shares key features with its gravel sibling, the BMC URS, including dropped seatstays for improved compliance. Clean, straight BMC design lines are combined with smooth, refined surfaces to enhance aerodynamic efficiency and overall stiffness to weight ratio.
