
OMI is an ongoing research project by Bureau 1217 exploring tools for soil regeneration through fungal networks. The project combines a device that implants mycelium into the soil with a digital interface to support deployment and monitoring, making regenerative soil practices more accessible.
As product designer, I collaborated on translating the initial concept into a tangible product by integrating functional and technical requirements into the design. Together with the team, we developed and refined an early prototype, bridging research towards a refined proof of concept.
